To benefit from massage therapy training, prospective students should be in good health and have reasonable stamina — the work of a massage therapist can be physically demanding.
What you need to apply.
High school or equivalent
Successfully completed high school or its equivalent (diploma, transcript, or GED).
18 or older
Be 18 years of age or older.
Valid photo ID
Submit a copy of a valid U.S. government-issued photo ID (driver's license, military ID, or passport).
Application forms
Complete the appropriate applications and forms.
Application fee
Pay the $100 application fee (cash, check, money order, or major credit card).
Homeschooled and foreign-credential applicants should reference the Catalog for additional documentation requirements. The program is offered in English; prospective students must be fluent in English before enrolling.

New Seasons School of Massage does not guarantee graduates' eligibility for licensure, certification, or registration. Students are responsible for confirming individual eligibility with the appropriate agencies. Hours earned via hybrid online distance education may not be accepted for reciprocity or eligible for licensure in other states. The school does not guarantee graduate employment.
All massage therapy program students must apply for and pass a state-approved licensing examination (the MBLEx) to receive an Alaska massage therapy license. This exam is administered by a third party and is not covered by tuition.
Applicants must submit current CPR certification meeting one of the recognized standards (American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or equivalent) and complete 2 hours of safety education in Bloodborne Pathogens and Universal Precautions.
Criminal convictions may affect a student's ability to be licensed. Massage therapy applicants are required to report all convictions to the Alaska Board of Massage Therapists and submit to a criminal background check.
